Colorado law restricts when and how these companies can collect fees from your account. If your program took unauthorized fees, you could recover statutory damages — including up to three times the total amount you paid into the program.
Some programs operate as purported law firms or bundle "legal protection" into your fees, but this facade does not automatically exempt the program from liability. Colorado law prohibits certain bundled charges, and violations may entitle you to significant damages.
